Hi! I’m Kelsey Power and I created Empowered Instructors to provide digital art educators the resources they need to provide a high-quality education for their students. I have over ten years of experience teaching Computer Graphic Arts, Photography, Video Production, Animation, and Yearbook at the high school level. I am currently in an EdTech role where I provide teachers assistance in integrating technology in the classroom.
I am passionate about art and technology and I love sharing my knowledge with others. When I started teaching, I was surprised to find there wasn’t a set curriculum for any of the digital arts classes I was assigned. I loved the flexibility but spent many hours building my curriculum for each course. A lot has changed over the past ten years as I am now married and a mother of two. I can’t imagine having to build an entire curriculum from scratch.
Empowered Instructors was created as a way to help others by sharing my resources. My goal is to free educators from countless hours preparing lessons and to allow them to feel confident in teaching digital arts courses.
